I have been using a Medion PPc200 for about a year or so now but dropped it last week and smashed the screen.
After much deliberation I bought a new MIO 168.
I have installed the Medion Navigator Software on it and it runs OK but i can't get a fix on any sats. All i get is the "GPS!" sign. I have read elsewhere here about turning off the "Receive infrared beams" to stop it locking the port up and have done this but it makes no difference.
WHERE AM I GOING WRONG ????
Thanks,
Marcel. |

I have configured the port settings via the Medion Navigator "SETTINGS" menu for ports 1 to 16. Is this the only place that the ports need to be configured or is there somewhere actually in the PC settings that need to be configured as well ?? |

You should be using COM1 for a wired GPS mouse. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I have tried com 1 but no success.
Shouldn't there be somewhere to adjust the settings of the built in receiver ? |

Sorry I saw 'Medion PPC200' and overlooked the reference to Mio168
The correct Com Port in that case is COM2 which may also be referred to as Serial On SP2 or Serial on COM2. _________________ Darren Griffin |
