Blaupunkt travel pilot

Hi, I recently sold a Blaupunkt travel pilot that my husband had on his car. It was working when I sold it and I had it removed from the car by a specialst company. The person I sold it to can only get the radio and cd player to work, not the gps part. They keep getting messages like.'this rd is not on the digital map, not on road or off road'. As they live in Birmingham and we live in Hampshire we can't just pop around to help. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be.

Maybe they live on a new estate that is not in the mapdata? In that case they can test by driving to some place else and see if it appears on the map. if so the solution is for them to buy an updated map CD from Blaupunkt.
