hi i have just purchased second hand a ipaq pocket pc 3630, just to get me started on pocket pcs.
what it is im trying to d/load tomtom 2 into it all goes well untill i go to run it off pocket when i click on it it says X cannot determine location of data. please re-install data or application.
am i doing something wrong here because i have tried installing 4 times now.
HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP...

i tried that thanks and that saying not enough memory ??
the guy i bought it off said he had it installed but i cant get it to work i even tried installing just the minimum off maps.
any ideas.
its tomtom 2 if that helps you.

if this pda is not big enough in memory does anyone know of one for sale second hand, or a cheap place brand new. |

Oh, you are trying this without storage card? That won't work. You need to get a CF jacket for your iPAQ, and a CF card of at least 128 MB.
Instead of TomTom you can try Mapopolis - it's maps are much smaller, and one or tw will fit into main memory. _________________ Lutz

now looking for expansion jackets but totally lost by these any help please which is best and what prices should i pay am looking on ebay at the mo.
can anyone help if there is different sorts. |

It is expensive new.
But you could pick one up for next to nothing as it really is an obsolete item.
I would advise spending money on extra for 3630 if that is what you have to do.
Try getting a newer PPC (with at least a SD slot), which you should have done in the first place instead of getting the 3630, if GPS use was your intention. A more recent 2nd hand budget PPC would not have cost more than 3630 + CF jacket put together. _________________ Pc-Mobile

ok i know i should have bought different but if i buy this will it solve the issue for now ???
could i load my tomtom software onto this card easily and run it from there. eg loading maps onto it and speed camera database.
CF expansion pack for IPAQ + 1GB CF CARD
got chance of buying one tonight so need an answer quick if anyone around cheers. |
