I have lost my key mapping for GPS Assist under TT 2. I mainly miss being able to exit by the touch of one button. Hope it can be fixed. |

TT2 now includes it's own key mapping, perhaps there is a conflict?

I think this is a double post, but I emailed Jo about this problem and his reply is as follows.
There’s a workaround for that. Just start TTN2 first and then GPSAssist. If you start GPSAssist first, TTN2 will ‘steal’ the hardware buttons from GPSAssist.
I just received the SDK2 for TTN2 which now enables me to develop a version specific for TTN2. In that version I will also deal with the hardware button nuisance.
Thanks,
Jo.

I have had the same trouble but as I bought the Ipaq and TT just for use as a GPS system I found that I could re-map the keys on a permanent basis form the ROM. Not as easy as it sounds as GPSAssist also had to be mapped and then stopped and started -all by trial and much error!!!! Some luck too I think?

Yes I am having the same problem. I can't map the keys as per the instructions. Do we wait for the patch? _________________ Graham |

I have the keys working again. Note it is important to shut down all the apps first, so either go to shut down all applications or do a soft reset then open TTN followeed by GPSassist. |

I can get it to work fine by starting in that order. However first time I switch to Navigator it steals the buttons. I have it set as 1. GPS Assist 2. TT Nav 3. Route Home and most importantly 4. Exit.
How do you exit without a dedicated button ? It seems to be a nightmare.
Lets hope the SDK allows a patch real soon. |
