the is a great forum here with some very good info but I've not seen anything related to this

I'm looking to purchase a bluetooth system primarily for in-car use but may want a cf card device as well in the near future - just for practicality in different environments.
FS Loox 720 - TomTom - probably Leadtek bt - probably globalsat bc307 cf

I've read on here of the many problems found with setting up the pda, gps hardware and gps software to get them working efficiently together.
Is a multi gps hardware solution going to be a nightmare ?

I'm new to gps but am ok on tech stuff in general

thanks in advance

No, we routinely have a good dozen different receivers configured on our machines, and there's no real issue.

In the Bluetooth world you have to select the device you want to use - you do this once in the Bluetooth Manager, and the OS then remembers that choice.

You can also have different programs access different receiver types - I have one machine that accesses a serial , jacket , and BT receiver.

You should have a look at GPSGate - it works the other way round but is a very good testing tool
