Just picked up a Navman 610 which comes with the 04 version from Teleatlas. I believe this is the map that will come with the new TomTom aswell.

Problem is that a lot of roads (Edinburgh) appear to be no entry but they definately are not (e.g. Cowgate). Is this an issue specific to the Navman (which I hope) or will TomTom have the same problem if I do what I am planning and return this for one of the new TomTom Gos?

Really want the new 500 but stugle to justify double the price, especially if it has the same useless map info.

Cheers.

Seeing as the new GO maps are not available anywhere yet, that's a bit of a theorhetical question, don't you think? Rolling Eyes

ok - tis a bit, but am trying to work out what part dictates the roads as have read on the Navman forum about updates correcting road problems such as this. That would indicate its the Navman problem rather than a Tom Tom and was hoping someone might point me in the right direction.

Of course I could also be wrong in saying it is the same version of map, again would like to be corrected.
