external antenna

Hi all,

I have an Ipaq 3715 and a fortuna bluetooth gps reciever. I work as a GP and have to do house calls in 'dodgy' places. There have been break ins and recently my college has his gps reciever nicked from his car after been broken into.

I was wondering, if I could permanetly place the gps reciever in the boot (there is a power supply there), and augment the signals by using an external antenna, permanently fixed to my rear window (it is heated). Will this work. the bluetooth does, so before purcahsing the antenna, I thought of getting some advice.

you could do that, you say the window is heated, is it heat reflective?
