|
|
The new files for Release 3.034 are now on the server and can be downloaded from this page or via POIsync.
The details are as follows: -
pocketgps_uk_gatso - 3479 Gatso cameras, 116 new;
76 Truvelo cameras, 29 new identified as TRUVELO:nnn
pocketgps_uk_redlight - 762 cameras, 54 new
pocketgps_uk_mobile - 1378 sites, 196 new
pocketgps_uk_specs - 64 cameras, 2 new
pocketgps_uk_temp - 45 cameras, 23 new
No changes to the Continental data.
All of the OV2 files have been created using the TomTom utility MakeOV2 so there is no need for TomTom Mobile users to reformat the files. The release number is in the readme.txt file so check that file after downloading. If the new files have not been downloaded then clear your Internet Explorer cache and try again.
Thanks to all of you that sent in updates, and keep them coming in.
Also thanks to Richard (Oldie) for all of his work in administrating the database.

Hmmm indeed! I also get v3.0.24, even after doing all the cache-emptying thingies. And I've been happily downloading updates (thanks guys :D ) since last summer.
Could it be that the wrong file has slipped onto the website somehow....... ?
Cheers,
Barry |

Hi doublehard and baldbazza,
to the forum, doublehard!
You’re both on NTL aren’t you? Unfortunately NTL use Inktomi cache servers and are especially problematic. We can't do anything about this, if your ISP forces you to use their cache or their transparent cache hasn't updated then you'll either have to wait for the cache to update or ask someone to email you the latest update.
By the way, NTL have configured their Inktomi's to refresh after a period of between 12 and 24hrs so they will update eventually!

Hi Privateer. Well surmised! I've never (knowingly) had a problem with NTL's caches before so there had to be a first time! I'll keep checking. |

Hi
Firstly, thanks to all who administer this database.
Secondly, is there anyway to sign up to a notification service to tell me when the updates can be downloaded?
Thanks in advance _________________ Andy |
