If you read the instructions at the bottom of the download page at
http://pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras.php
there will be one to suit your setup (under Tom Tom Navigator 3). _________________ Richard

Many thanks for the reply, i have tried installing checkpoint and then poi warner, even then i cant get the poi's to show on my mio when on the map. I must be doing something wrong, just dont know what at the moment. It doesnt help much that when i go to the relavent page all i get is:
NOTE TO EXISTING USERS
We have just released a new version of the PocketGPSWorld.com Safety Camera Database. There's a slight difference (and it wont work straight out of the box, so take note!). The subtle difference is - that it has now been split into three files. Namely:-
Then no more info. |

Sorry I haven't got back to you before, I'm not fully up to speed with TTG and Checkpoint. Was hoping someone with more knowledge of it might take over. ''
Let's start from the beginning.
Questions -
Have you downloaded the SC.zip file?
Which version of Checkpoint did you download? If you have v3 try un-installing it and download and install V2.0.2.
Reading the forum I think Checkpoint is the easiest one for you. Try reading this page again and bookmark it so you can refer to it easily.
First step, and don't worry about asking. _________________ Richard

Okay thank you for the reply's. I now have the cameras as poi's in my database. I have installed checpoint 2 but now for the strange part, it doesnt show in my programs list. It shows in the remove programs section but i cant find the icon anywher on the unit to go into the settings. If i try a reinstall it recoqnises that checkpoint is already loaded. Strange. Any ideas as to how i can now go and find checkpoint to set the settings.
Oh this link helped me put the files in the right place

I don't know which operating system you have, but you should have a Windows Explorer. Open this and see it there is a CheckPOInt folder or program in Program Files. If so look for the CheckPOInt exe file and create a short cut. This thread should be able to help. _________________ Richard

thank you once again it all seems sorted now. how i hate being a newbie at something and drowning in the technology. At least i found here and the helpfull people it contains (thanks to top gear or driven or whichever one it was)
I know have 2 icons appeared instead of one for checkpoint but i think ill live with it, for the time being as thats another step by step needed.
I take it now its working i follow the guide and select warning and then the wav file i want for every type now listed in checkpoint along with use poi,s from this overlay. |

Well done. ''
One of the icons might have installed itself when you were trying to get it to work.
Enjoy. '' _________________ Richard

hi OldBoy
Have followed all the above instructions and links. Checkpoint appears in its folder plus shortcut, but it will not run. Have installed and un-installed several times. The cameras appear on the TT 3 maps so perhaps I don't have to have Checkpoint operable?
