I have a Jornada 540 and considering the purchase of Tomtom navigator. Will this work ? The Tomtom web site suggests that this PDA is supported, however it does use the SHx SH3 processor. I would welcome any advice. _________________ Bren |

Yes it should work. At least the 1st version does. I do not expect the 2nd is any different. _________________ Pc-Mobile

But the major problem may the the memory on the PPC.
WE used TTN with a 548 (32MB) without any problem. But with a 540 (16MB) it may stretch a bit and you probably cannot install anything else if you want to run TTN reasonably well. _________________ Pc-Mobile

Bren, don't think this will be a problem, TomTom backwardly compile their programs, their still do the old MIPS support which is great as I can still put to use my old Casio E125 that has a MIPS processor. Not many companies backwardly support devices like this. |

Very impressed with the Tomtom 2, easy to use and accurate. _________________ Bren |
