Copy tomtom 3 favourites

I have an Ipaq 3850 and need to copy my favourites to an Ipaq 3870. Firstly, where are these favourites stored as I don't see them on my storage card anywhere? Secondly, how do I copy them to a second Ipaq. I have a card reader that may speed things up if it is possible to do it this way. Any help much appreciated.

I know Loob considers it as a work around rather than a solution, but if you save the favourites as POIs -

1) they are stored on the card, and easily transferable
2) You don't lose them when your system eventually crashes or accidentaly runs out of battery.
