I originally wanted a GPS for use on my bike. I know that the 510 is probably not the best suited but it was a decent sized screen, gave voice instructions and was faily easy to use, and would be perfect for the car too.
On Saturday I installed a cigarette lighther adaptor to the bike (not easy on a small 600cc sports bike) so that I could try out the 510. I put the unit in the tank bag, and armed with an earpiece, a jack extension lead, and a power extension I tried it yesterday.
Have to say that I was really pleased with the results, I'm sure it's going to work as I want it in France in the summer, all I have to do is to find a decent way of mounting it, so I can see it without looking down at the tank !.

Glad to hear that your pleased with the 510 on your bike. I'm presently installing mine onto my bike for the French Pyrenees in May. Having just loaded up the maps for France & Spain, I must say that I'm impressed with the detail. Don't know what the wife's going to do on the back all day long now??? |

What ? You're taking the Mrs on a bike trip to Europe ?? 8O
I thought that was "boys only" territory
I'm catching the overnight train from Calais to Nice then riding back through the Alps and the Arden with a bunch of mates. Have to order the maps first mind !!
