TomTom troubles....

I got my HP hx2410 and TTN3 today, i've installed the TTN software, but when i come to install the GB map it cant do it.

I'm using a 512Meg dane electric sd card, made in japan by toshiba.

It gets half way and spits its dummy, i read somthing about not doing this on active sync and getting a card reader on here will that do the trick?

The small maps work fine, anything bigger and its no go.

A card reader is the best way.

However, if all you've got is ActiveSync, install the file to your hard disk, then use ActiveSync to copy the map folder to the root of your memory card (press the Explore button on ActiveSync, then go via My Pocket PC).

That tends to work - whereas installing larger maps directly through ActiveSync tends to fail.

Post back if you need fuller instructions.

i take it using a card reader i can use those advanced options to install the full map?

that'll be a trip to maplins then...
