Editing Navman's default POI's

Does anybody know if there is a way of editing the default POI's that are installed from the CDs? It would just be nice to include things that they seem to have forgotten - eg, just for example I was looking for stadiums in Manchester, and only found Man City (maine road, old ground) and not even Old Trafford (except the cricket ground).

Surely there must be a way of de-compiling the .map files to get to the source coordinates, or even something easier. It would save on using up the 25 POI spaces.

The default POI's are supplied by TeleAtlas and installed with the maps.
It would be nice to be able to correct mistakes such as incorrect positioning but they are copyrighted and therefore cannot be altered.
