I've been using an Origin B2 for the last 12 months (with an Origin Blue i - prior to that).
The Origin B2 + Origin Solo are pretty much identical units I believe (except for the cradles they are supplied with). The Origin Solo cradle has a build in GPS antenna, where as the Origin B2 has a seperate antenna + wiring loom.
The units them selves are outstanding - false alerts are literally zero. And of all the units I've used/experienced - there are no other databases that compare to the standard of the Origin database.
It knows cameras on the motorways - literally the day they are installed, and they are removed from the database as quick. I travelled 45000 miles last year for work in my car alone, and there was only 1 camera it wasn't aware of (and thats as it was being installed that day) - but the database had it the next day!
It really is an outstanding piece of kit - and comes with my highest recommendations. There is a full review of the Origin B2 on this website, and most items will be appropriate to the Origin Solo.
Any queries, please just ask!
Simon

I have an Origin B2 (not the Solo), and I feel it is a really excellent product that does exactly what it claims to do. Apart from the need to regularly update the database it is a 'fit-and-forget' device that gives you the protection you need. |
