To be honest, there's not a great deal of need for a firewall on the Pocket PC, in that Pocket PCs don't, by default, run any services.
For example, there's no Windows Networking server capabilities, nor can you connect to ActiveSync on a Pocket PC over a network link - you have to connect from the Pocket PC.
At the moment, my understanding is that there's no viruses beyond proof of concept viruses (with no malicious payload) for Pocket PC. This may change over time, but, for now, there doesn't appear to be a need for antivirus software on the Pocket PC.
It tends to take user action to install software onto a Pocket PC. It's very hard to slip a program silently through ActiveSync, and to do this would arguably require a security breach on the PC (such malicious software could theoretically be caught by the antivirus software on your PC). As always, for security, if you're using an "NT" operating system - such as Windows 2000, XP, or 2003 Server, it's best to run as a User, not an Administrator.
You can configure a memory card to run automatically when inserted - but you'd have to acquire a memory card that has been deliberately set up in that way and insert it into your Pocket PC to acquire any malware that way.
Finally, overwriting system DLLs and the like always tends to create a user prompt on a Pocket PC.
It is prudent if you have Bluetooth to keep the Bluetooth security settings as tight as possible - I keep the ability to discover my Pocket PCs off unless I know they need to be discoverable (in which case I turn it back on temporarily), also I only allow paired devices to connect to them. Apart from that, my concern would be to keep the PC or PCs you use with your Pocket PC secure rather than worrying about a direct attack on the Pocket PC.
