Newbie post, so go easy!
I've searched the forums, looked at Leadteks manual, but cannot find the answer I need...
I basically need to know if the 9537 I bought is working OK. At the moment, looking at it next to my C500, the green (GPS) light is blinking every second or so, but the blue (Bluetooth) light is blinking every second as well, then staying on for 2-3 secs every 15-20 secs. If a connection exists between the two of them , should the BT light stay on permanently on the 9537 or C500, or both??
I've been trying to set up TTM on my C500 all night, and am now completely confused.....thats for my post in the Smartphone forum!

thanks in advance
Dan

yes, if you have a connection established between the C500 and the Leadtek then the blue LED should stay on permanently. If it falls back to blinking then your bluetooth connection is not stable.

Hey Dan

Can you explain how you fixed your problem?

I have the same problem but cannot get TomTom to work using my Leadtek 9537.

Thanks in advance.

No problem, hope I can help. What I had to do in the end was uninstall the tomtom files from my storage card and reinstall them again, and start afresh.

This is from the expansys website for a different phone, but I followed these instructions to the letter and I got it working.

I've used a post on a diff forum to connect a Holux to an C500, and modified it's contents to reflect the settings/situation with which i've had success.

So, It might just work for other combo's as well.

TomTom Mobile works on imate SP3i and Royal Digital BS-1100

After a lots of manipulations. I managed to get rid of the message when I launched TTM (The GPS signal was lost 5, 10... seconds ago). And I finally managed to get TTM works with Royal Digital BS-1100

Procedure:
I copied the original 256Mo SD card to a new 512Mo mini-SD.
I updated the TTM with the patch from TomTom.fr to make it compatible with the imate SP3i.

The procedure to make it works with the Royal Digital BS-1100 is different than with the original TomTom BT GPS.

1- Go to the Start/More.../More.../Configurations/BT Serial Port Setup and activate (check) both "Inbound COM port: COM6" and "Outbound COM port: COM7" click Done

2- Go to the Settings/Bluetooth set the "On" and click on "Menu" -> "Devices"
Delete all others existing GPS devices

3- In the device list click on "Menu" -> "New"
The Royal Digital BS-1100 "RD BS1100" should appear in the list. it must be turn on off course :-)

4- Click on "Select" and use "0000" for the "Passkey", click on "Done"

5- Replace the display name "RD BS1100" with "TomTom Wireless GPS" (Case sensitive) and click on "Done"
The message "Your Smartphone has connected with TomTom Wireless GPS" should appear.

6- Click "Ok" and "Done"

7- Launch the TTM, it will now detect the Royal Digital BS-1100. And its works perfectly

Where it says info about the Royal Digital BS-1100, just obviously use the leadtek in its place.

To be honest, the key for me was to do a complete re-install of tomtom mobile on the phone. I got in such a mess extracting traffic updates on storage cards, phone memory etc I was stuffed. Also, I installed the traffic update on the storage card of my phone. Let me know how you get on.

Don't give up, this combination does definitely work!
