Hi
I've swopped my 128mb card received with the tomtom ipaq rx1710 for a 1gb card.
I copied over the GB map information onto the 1gb and everything is working fine.
Then loaded France, Italy etc and from the CD followed the link to activate these maps. TomTom support had already advised by email that all of the euro maps are activated by the same code.
However, having checked out and paid I didn't get a code - it looks like I am going to get anothe batch of CDs with an activation code.
Has anyone else had this problem ?
If I do get a new CD set - should I delete all my euro maps from original set of CDs and put the new ones on before activating ?
If I ever wanted to add Germany/Scandanavia (which won't fit on my new card) to another SD card will the code I get "work" for these as well ?
thanks

Activations are held on the Pocket PC, not the memory card.
The first time you try to switch to a map that your existing Product Code does not support, you'll be asked to activate. Once you've done that, you should be able to switch between all the European maps freely, no matter what memory card they're on.
I've tried this myself with TomTom Navigator 2004 HP Edition - I initially activated my pan-European copy with one of the German maps, then switched memory card, as an experiment, to a card containing a Great Britain map I use with TomTom Navigator 3, which worked immediately.

Hi David
Thanks for the response.
How did your activation code arrive ?
I was under the impression it would be given online or emailed.
having followed the process I have a sneaking suspicion I will end up with a box of CDs with the a new product code. I haven't had an email yet.
regards,
