Can anybody send me an idiot proof, step by step instruction for loading Safety Camera Data Base on to my PDA. The system I have is a Hp iPAQ rz 1700 series running tomtom Navigator (I believe this is tomtom Go). Is there a list of the files to be loaded on the Card? Why does the preamble to the down load instructions say that it been split into three files and lists 6, is it me?

Hi KT,
to the forum!
No it’s not you, the PocketGPSWorld camera database has experienced a process of evolution since it was first published, over three years ago. Currently there are six main database categories, some of which are subdivided into speed zones.
Gatso Fixed cameras (e.g. GATSO, Truvelo, etc)
Redlight Red traffic light cameras
Specs Sectional, i.e. SPECS cameras
Continental Speed check sites on mainland Europe.
Mobile Sites where you may encounter “Safety vans”
Temp Roadwork speed cameras
Some of the above (e.g. Gatso and Mobile) may also be split into speed zoned ones. These are identified with a suffix of 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, and TBA. TBA ones have not yet had their speed limit sent into our Camera Database Administrator. If you don’t want the subdivided ones then use the ones without the suffix, i.e. just GATSO and Mobile.
All TomTom POIs (this is essentially what the PocketGPSWorld camera database is) use two file types. They are .OV2 (the database) and .BMP (the icon).
Choose which parts of the PocketGPSWorld camera database you want and Copy the OV2 and BMP files to your Storage Card into the Country Directory (e.g. \Great Britain) and enable them in the POI screen.
You then need to set up the Proximity Alert. Please read your manual for that part.
