|
|
Hi, I have a couple of questions I'd be grateful for some help on:-
1. Has TTM5 actually available tobuy now? or ha it only been announced?
2. Is the new GPS unit significantly better than the old one, if it is in what way?
3. If I leave the GPS unit permanently plugged in and connected will it flatten the car battery?
Thanks Robo |

1) not yet available to buy
2) SiRF III promises higher sensibility and better performance in urban canyons, as well as indoors
3) yes, but only after 3 to 4 weeks _________________ Lutz

TomTom's press release says "Available Spring 2005". I think that's as good as you're going to get at this stage.

Hmmm, do I wait or jump in now? I've used the current GPS dongle and found it quite frustrating when it doesn't work indoors.
Bearing in mind I don't desperatly need it now, do you think I should wait, will it be marginally better?, or twice as good? |
