Can somebody help me get my Haicom 204e up and running on my SPV M2000 please? I'm not sure which driver to install from the CD - I've tried most of them but they dont seem to work. When I run ComNo I get what looks like a registry entry error....

Any help would be appreciated ... if it helps I'm running TomTom Navigator 3

SPV M2000 is, I believe, XDA like hardware.

For a serial GPS you shouldn't need any additional drivers. The chances are that if the GPS isn't working when you apply power to the cigarette lighter plug and set TomTom GPS to "NMEA 0183v2 4800" and "Serial Cable on COM1:", the issue is that you need to turn beams off.

To do this, Start Menu, Settings, Connections tab, Beam, uncheck the 'receive incoming beams' option and tap OK (or is it X - I forget - it's whatever is in the top right). Does that fix it?

Note: "Haicom GPS" is the wrong setting for an Evermore chipset GPS - you should use "NMEA 0183v2 4800". If you need to change settings in TomTom GPS, you do so in the second tab of the application, and you need to tap the blue box to untick it, change the settings, then tap the box to tick it again.
