Hoping somebody can help me.

For a while I have been using a Garmin Etrek GPS when I go out walking. When I get home, I up load all this onto my home PC, using Fugawi map software.

When I go skiing, I have used my Garmin Etrek to track speed/distance on a daily basis, but clear the track log each day.

I have recently got an Ipaq (2210).

Is there any software out there - similar to Fugawi, that can be used to download the info from the GPS unit onto the Ipaq. Ideally it would cover the Italian dolomites - however just software that would allow me to see the route I have taken would be fine.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Mark

OziExplorer speaks Garmin, Eagle, Lowrance, Magellan, MLR, Brunton/Silva as well as good old NMEA. :D

You should be able to switch your GPS to NMEA output for real time tracking on other programs.

skippy,

he wants to download the information from his Garmin. Are you sure Ozi can do that? I don't think so...

Gents,

Thanks for the replies so far.

My Garmin will do NMEA out, so that is not a problem. I have been using Fugawi Pocket PC on the Ipaq and it works. What I seem to have problems getting hold of is GPS maps of Italy. - Any ideas?

Hi,

This is probably not what you want, but have you seen the Navman Sport Tool?

I just received mine yesterday. It's a great toy for skiers who are curious about stats! This year I carried a Geko 301 to determine my maximum speed on skis... 63.3 mph!
