GPS mouse and navigator SW do not speak

Hello forum,

On my first steps into the GPS world I do have problems. Please help.
My hard- and software is

Compay iPAQ 3760
Marco Polo Mobile Navigator
HI-203E Mini-D/N GPS Receiver Module, with cabling to car 12V and to the iPAQ

My problem is that GPS mouse and navigator software do not speak to each other. I read that the GPS mouse would use port COM1. But I cannot open this port. A tool named GPSMaus says: cannot open COM port. In a forum I read that COM1 would be the standard port for the infrared interface to use. I have no idea how I could change this.

Hi there.

(I removed your german post , for your own safety ;-) )

Go to Start > Settings > Connections > Beam and uncheck that box. It's not directly related but may hae an influence.

Do you by any chance have other programs running that might block the COM1 port? like a keyboard driver?
