I want to be able to display recorded track data on TT3 but the only way I can see to do it is to convert the recorded tracks into TT3 POI overlay files. This works to a point but with two drawbacks. 1) since it's a track I want to see lines connecting the points rather than an icon at each point. 2) If I accept the fact that I can't get lines, the icons used don't appear to have any transparency so creating an icon (bmp) 22x22 with a dot in the centre, get's displayed as a white box with a dot inthe centre.

Is there any solution to the above problems ?

1 - the software isn't designed to do this.

2 - not that I can think of, unless Navigator happens to accept a smaller icon.

What I do - and I'm sure I'm not alone in this - is convert the track log data from TomTom into another format for display on my PC. In my case I use Anquet or OziExplorer, though there are plenty of other options too. You get a big screen and all the additional features of the PC application.

If you do want to stick with doing it in TomTom, it may be possible by programming with the API. I don't use it myself (not having the money to spare on it), so please don't take my word for it that it will work. If you go to the TomTom you can download the API documentation as a PDF file - look for section 7 Graphic Information Files, in particular 7.2.2 about polylines. Sounds like you could use them to do it.

"if you go to the TomTom" should of course be "if you go to the TomTom website" !
