deleting files

trying to keep the memory in trim on both the ipaq1710 and my sd cards.

now tom tom is loaded ie as a programme file, the sd card holds all the original load up data, is there any stuff on the card I can now delete to free up space. I know I will need the gb map file, but do i still need folder 2577, or folder tom tom, i think these are part of the original set up and are not needed now. Can someone confirm what can be removed.

Also the 1710 struggles with allocated memory when running tom tom, is there a way to improve this or is it something we have to live with.

Still love the thing though, the speed cam poi is awesome.

You are better off running TomTom off the storage card rather than in main memory.

You can remove the 2577 folder (make a backup first) but you need to keep the \tomtom folder.

You can remove unneeded voice files (dataxx.chk) - have a look at the vif files to identify the ones you do not need.

It would be much easier if you would get yourself a bigger memory card, eh?
