|
My father is looking at a gps solution for driving.
At the moment we are looking at going for a ipaq 2110, is there a tomtom car kit availible for this?
Also does anyone know if a Haicom HI-302CF will work with the IPAQ 2110 and TT3
Thanks! |

The Ipaq 2210 (which I have) has Bluetooth whereas the Haicom model GPS you mention is a Compact Flash type
When I was considering which GPS to buy I decided to go for Bluetooth & bought a Fortuna ClipOn (based on the reviews of it & others here) I have not been disappointed
The convenience of bluetooth is really good either in the car or out & about
That's not to say the Compact Flash won't work as it will but IMHO it's a bit more inconvenient having the GPS physically attached to the Ipaq ...
HTH ... Paul ;) |

I'd expect a HI-302CF to work in an iPAQ hx2110, but can't guarantee it. Normally there's no problem using Haicom CompactFlash GPSes in any Pocket PC 2003 or Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition Pocket PC.
If you have the GPS anyway, you might as well try it.
I believe ssrgps is talking about the new iPAQ hx2110, not the older (and now discontinued) iPAQ h2210. That said, I believe the answer is the same whichever iPAQ we're talking about.
