|
|
Hi,
Got the Poi's installed ok on the Ipaq (RZ1070) including the speed camera database. When I try to use Checkpoint it will not pick up the speed camera files or any of the other POI's such as supermarkets etc. Anyone have any ideas on this? Is Checkpoint compatible with the HP Ipaq Rz1070 bundle?
Many Thanks |

Hi Satnavstevens,
to the forum!
No, unfortunately the HP TomTom bundle will not work with CheckPOInt or any third party add-ons. Your version of TomTom does not have an SDK released. We’re not sure when, or even if, TomTom will ever release an SDK for the HP TomTom bundle.
You should be able to use the built-in “POI Proximity Alert” though.

Hi,
Will the inbuilt POI feature of the HP bundle do the audible alerts or do I need to make some changes?
Really happy with the bundle so far although I'm getting a 1gb sd card so I can get my MP3's playing on the Ipaq through the stereo.
I admit that the Ipaq is low spec, but for Sat Nav only it's great! |

I believe that you have a choice of about 16 standard sounds that are included. Unfortunately you cannot use different ones or use .WAV files.

How do I associate the speed cams with sounds? Is it already done? Ihope the answer to this is yes as this is what I really want. |

1. Select Change Preferences
2. Select Maintain POI
3. Select Warn when near POI
4. Select POI entering distance then select sound file to play.
I'm well happy now as I was a bit upset if the unit would not do sound alerts to safety cameras.

can you add speed camera POI's, as there are none in the package my mate has just got. If so which ones, as I use the ones from here, but there is not enough room to put them onto the SD card. |

If you have the standard SD card supplied I would remove the complete UK map and install either the North or South of England unless you need both. Only having one half will free up about 40mb on the SD card.
Copy the Safety Camera POI's into the dafault map folder on the SD card then remeber to tick them in the POI list. If they don't appear then reset the Ipaq so they get picked up.
I'm ordering a 1gb SD card from Amazon for £52 so I can get all my POi's and MP3 files on.
Hope this helps if not ask again!
