I have a Typhoon My Guide 3500 GPS/PDA. I would be very grateful if anyone could tell me if a hot sync/charger cradle is available for this machine (or a compatible one) and, if so, where I could buy one from? Or a similar USB cable? The cable that was included with my machine is slightly damaged, although I can still use it very carefully, I am not sure how long it will last. Thank you for any information regarding this.

I think the Typhoon 3500 is yet another clone of the Mitac Mio 168, take a look here and see http://www.mio-tech.be/products/gps/168/default.asp?From=168 .
If it is you can use the lead for the Medion PPC's available here https://www.medionshop.co.uk/medion.html for a fiver or so, navigate to PDA Accessories. The one I have has the mains power connector incorporated into the USB plug so that it can be charged at the same time as syncing.
On page 4 of the PDA Accessories they also list a cradle, but unfortunately there is no picture and no apparent way of telling which model it is for!!. Maybe worth a phone call to Medion, the model number of the Medion clone of the Mio 168 is MD95000.
You could also do a web search for stockists of Mitac Mio accessories.

Jon
Thank you for taking the time to post your helpful reply. I have found the cradle that would be compatible with my system but the PDA Shop's web page seems to be in Dutch, which I cannot read or understand, I have tried to see if it could be converted into English without any success, I therefore don't know how to order it. I would be very grateful for any urgent help from anyone who is able to help, Thanks.
