I took a punt and got one of these units - they use the nemerix chipset and must say the bloody thing is impressive.

Can't vouch for the battery life at the moment but the unit is about half the size of a pack of cards and finds and hold a good quick gps lock.

One thing that is unusual is that unless it has got a sat fix the connection indicator in tomtom gps doesn't move/show (its greyed out) - makes the initial bonding look like tomtom can't see it - once it has a clear view of the sky the lock is virtually instant. I can also see 4 sats on the display in the middle of my house.

One drive so far just to check it works in the car - no lag noticable and it was able to hold a 5 sat lock in the boot of the car - plugging an external antenna (MMCX not included) in gave 9 bars.

for 60 quid plus post I'm very happy - I used user name lootbazaar for my purchase.
