Please can you advise if you are still experiencing difficulties?

Just got that response today (Fri 4th Jan 2005) from the email I sent to tech support back in Oct 2004 when I bought my kit, complaining that there were places missing from the map and POI notification wasn't working.
Looks like they really are working on their backlog :D
Sadly though I think they've got a long way to go if they're still almost 4 months behind |

I notice there's a patch on ALK's website which mentions it's resolved an issue with missing POIs on PocketPC (http://www.alk.eu.com/support/copilotlive_pocketpc5/updates_patches.asp#) - is this a new patch and does it fix the vanishing POIs problem does anyone know ? |

If the patch is ....22 version, then it is has been available for at least a couple of months. I purchased Copilot in Jan and the version I have is ...30 which still has POI issues (see my previous postings). Unfortunately ALK currently do not have a responsive tech support dept, and the conversations I have managed to have with them seem to suggest that they have know knowledge of POI or any other bugs. Funny that, considering all the entries in this forum!
I hope the above helps |

If they don't have a fix or a work around for the bug then they won't admit it even exists otherwise they would be admitting that their software is not of merchantable quality.
It's a pretty nasty way to do business, but unfortunately lots of software companies do just that. _________________ Gone fishing! |
