just made the first real run using TTN3 and I have to say I wan't impressed.
it plotted a route 5 mile longer than the route I would normally take, 23 instead of 18, but that was ok cos I wanted to test the performance.
directions weren't that accurate distance wise, I was almost on top of junctions before it mentioned they were cominng up and on the motorway I would have missed my exit if I didn't know what exit I needed.
then, just after the motorway exit, it locked up and I had to reset the mitac and reprogram the route.
about 3 mile further on it locked up again but restarted after about 60 seconds.

not sure if this is down to the mitac 168 or TTN3.01 but I had at least 7 satellite locks so I would expect it to be pretty damn accurate... no ?

not sure if this matter but I don't have an SD card yet, so everything is running on the mitac memory, I don't have any of the addons (speed cameras etc) either

you probably run extremely low on RAM, with all kinds of adverse effects. Get a storage card.

Hi,
I think it must be down to your Mitac. I have Mio 168 and TTN3 and have just started using it. First real run today and it was just great, plenty of notice of approaching junctions etc. Only problem was the sound level for the directions was excellent, but the sound level for the speed camera warnings was too low, only just audible in a fairly noisy old Volvo!
I agree it may take a slightly longer route, but in both cases on my route today I think it turned out quicker than the route I used to take
One up for Tom Tom ?

The low volume on your alerts will either be low system volume or the .wav files themselves. I have some designed for CheckPOInt available here which you may wish to try and see if they are louder, they work fine for me.

one other thing - if you're still using 3.01 update to 3.07.

On motorways you should get the first voice instruction very early - at 70 - 80 mph I get "exit ahead" at 1700 yards - so 55 seconds notice.
