So I'm slightly confused.
I've read the review of the new HP Navigation bundle, mention was made of the pocket pc running in landscape mode on Windows 2003 Second Edition. And of other pocket pc's running in VGA.
I have an ipaq 2210, I guess that isn't VGA? How do I know which ones are? Also how to do I tell what version of operating system I have? And if I have the wrong version, is it possible to upgrade? |

240x320 is called QVGA (Quarter VGA) , whereas 480x640 is VGA (in Portrait mode)
Only a select few Pocket PCs have VGA, the 2210 doesn't.
Windows Mobile 2003 SE allows QVGA devices to run in landscape mode too, but not all programs understand that yand you amyend up with some information cut off at the bottom.
Give it another year or so and most of the important programs will be resolution and orientation aware. _________________ Lutz

When the new versions of TomTom are released it's likely they will support landscape mode.. however I assume that won't be an option since I don't have second edition.. or will it? |

yes it will - the new TomTom rendering engine uses GAPI and does portrait/landscape independently form the operating system.
What this also means is that if your operating system is switched to Landscape this does not mean TomTom will display in Landscape, too - those are completely independent settings. _________________ Lutz
