Addresses not coming up without zipcode

I am having problems with my iCN 510 not showing me big sections of roads unless I have the zipcode. If I just use the city and street it will temm me no such address is on the map but if i enter the zip code it finds the address. Without the zipcode it will only give me certain sections of a street's addresses but once I enter zipcode they are all available.
