GPS v2.07 Installation

My apologies for bringing this up again, but I badly need some help.

I run TT 3.07T. In order to solve a problem I had with Traffic authentication. I recently was advised by TomTom support to uninstall TT and reinstall TT3 from from the original CD, and then reinstall the 3.07T Traffic update from their website. This I did and it solved my Traffic problem.

I am now trying to install GPS2.07 so that I can use Memory Map as well as TT. I deleted ~gps using file explorer on the iPaq, but when I tried to install 2.07 I had an error message that " The file \Windows\ttbtdev.dll is in use or is in ROM. If the file is not in ROM, please close the application using this file."

I've also removed ~gps via add & remove program in active sync, but this just greys out the check box as per the rest of the TT programs.

I renamed the original ttbtdev.dll file and this let me complete the installation process, but I end up with the GPS disabled, and the check box on the GPS status screen refusing to accept a tick.

Any help very welcome and appreciated

you need to uninstall the TomTom ~GPS driver twice from the "Remove Programs" settings screen.

Don't forget to do soft resets after each time.

In the past I've always tried to remove the TT file from within the PPC. I've now got 2.07 installed, and the box for mt Ematac and Com5 checked, but it cant see the satellites, ie the staus page is greyed out. Also the BT browser doesn't come up when I start TT.

Any ideas please?

ps Is the CAB file for traffic (3.07T ?)available. Is anything else required for Traffic?
