Can Somebody help I have bought an MDA3 and reinstalled TT3 but when it asks for the activation code I put it in but it says it is the wrong code. I still have TT3 installed on my old PDA I seem to remember reading on this forum that you can use the code from your old PDA. Could someone tell me what it is called and where it is. Thonk in advance. Embarassed Embarassed

No, that 's not how it works. You can use the PRODUCT code twice, but you will have to re-activate on the MDAIII and generate a new activation code from the exixting product code and the device ID of the MDAIII

So how do I do that sorry to appear a bit thick.How do I generate a new activation code from the exixting product code.

I did go to ttcode.com put in my product code the device code it gave me was not the same as on the MDA so I didn't get the activation code. I then went to try to email them But cant find it on their page. Now pulling my hair out.

Here is a copy of the question I asked TomTom.

" When I installed TT3 upgrade to my new MDA and go to actvate it I put in the product code and am told the code you typed is not valid go to ttcode.com. When I go there and enter my product code the device code does not correspond with the one on my MDA. please could you assist me. My new email address is martinleebriggs@blueyonder.co.uk I have also tried to change this on my profile but to no avail."

This is the answer they gave me

" In order to be able to use your TomTom software, you need to obtain a code which activates the software. The activation mechanism is intended to protect our software from illegal copying, whilst still being flexible enough for our customers.

TomTom policy is that you can activate your software on one device. Click Here to download the full version of the TomTom License agreement."

Not too helpful I am only trying to use the software they sold me surely everyone is entitled to update their hardware when they want to.

Still pulling my hair out and now very lost!!

bug them again, reinforcing the statement that you have changed your hardware and you will not run it on two devices.
