Hi Wendy
Yes you need a bigger card. I have managed to get the poi database on my original card.
Basically copy the camera files from the database put them in a folder on your desktop. Obviously you need to unzip them. Once unzipped chaned the display ie right click the folder and change to show details. Once you have done this you can then see the full file name. Copy the relevant 2 files as per the instruction on the download page. Copy them over to your sd card and put them in the gb map folder.
Once you have done this you should then be able to add them as a poi.
Its a bit of a long winded method but it does work, and once you have added them to your poi list they actually do show up.
Have fun

I have tried to do the same but can not access the files from POI-Warner
all i get is the following message.
"The automatic detection of the map-directory failed.
please make sure that the map directory is in the root directory of the
storage card or pda and that it ends with navigator map!
Could somebody please explain in simple terms what it is i have to do.
I am new to all this.
Thanks |

Hi gps_greenhorn,
to the forum!
Which version of TomTom Navigator do you have?
If you have the TomTom HP Navigation 2004 package then you shouldn't need POI-Warner. In fact you won't be able to use POI-Warner or any third party add-on software, as there is no SDK for TomTom HP Navigation 2004. You can however use the built in Proximity Alerts.
