Updating TomTom.. with new speed cameras... OV2 an BMP Files

I was just wondering if anyone could lend a helping hand, i have downloaded the update UK Speed Cameras II.ov2 <--- etc... ive transfered this file + the BMP file associated with this to the designated directory \SD Card\Great-Britain-Map <---- after doing this and turning off my Palm i would have thought that this would have done an automatic update to which i would then be able to pre select the additional addons... unfortunately this has not been the case.

If anyone has ne tips so that i can get this too work as this has been driving me loopy it would be much apprecitated

is it a Palm or PocketPC? If it is PPC running Tom Tom 3 you need to download checkpoint and setup. If its the Palm software you need to download the updates from www.tomtom.com and then configure the POI under maintain POI section.
