I have installed CheckPOInt onto my Ipaq hx4700 with TomTom 3. In the overlays section when I select the properties of the continental overlay there is a tab called speed warning. What does the setting "Speedlimit for POI's in this overlay" mean? I wrongly assumed that with this I was able to assign a sound to whatever speed camera i was approaching. In this I was hoping that if I approached a camera in a 40 mph limit for example I could have a soundbite stating 40mph! But as this overlay carries data for many speed limits this obviously isnt the case!! Am I way off the mark here?

Cheers

Some cameras databases are split into separate files for each speed limit. With these databases you can use this feature such that it only warns you of the camera if you are approaching the camera faster than the speed limit.

The Pocketgpsworld database is hopefully going to be split into speed categories in the future, but right now the team only have speed limits for 10% of the cameras - if everyone helps provide speed limit information for their local speed cameras they should soon have sufficient information to allow the database to be split up.
