TomTom for IPAQ maps on a smartphone

I own both the TTM and TT for Ipaqs. The Ipaq has the disks with maps on for europe.

Can I copy the maps to my smartphone to extend the coverage beyond just the Uk?

If so, which directory to I copy them into, and what files do I need?

Simply copy the entire map directory from one storage card to the other. It may ask you to re-activate.

Thanks, that worked a treat. I now get the option to select a map when I open the app.

Is it possible for some automatic 'stitching' to be done though, for example, if I travel from Dover to Calais, then France map will automatically be opened when a GPS signal in France is picked up?

Otherwise, if I'm crossing country borders, I'll have to stop and load each map as I approach the border.

Any ideas?

Cross border routing between maps is not available on TomTom products unless you use the Major Roads of Europe (MRE) map.
