|

Hi,
My company have decided to replace my trusty Ipaq 5550 with a QTEK 2020. Is there any reason why TomTom3 should not work on this new device, I believe it is basically an XDAII.
If anyone has one of these devices running TomTom3 then I would appreciate any feedback.
Regards

Yeah I've got one too and it works very well, although it has locked up a couple of times ever... |

Hi TopCat,
Thanks for the reply, just out of interest what version of TomTom are you running?

I've used 3.03 and 3.07 quite happily on an XDA2 (both app and GPS drivers) and have had no real problems.
Have used TomTom both wired and bluetooth, at the same time as my bluetooth car kit and both work happily together with none of the frightening issues that people talk about.....
Only real gripe is that the serial port on the botton of the XDA2 won't work if the "infra-red" (beam) is turned on, so if you use a wired GPS in the car and use infra-red to sync at home (like me) you spend your life turning the beam on and off, within the "Power" menu... |

Hi Graham,
I have had my 2020 for about 2 weeks now, and TomTom3 has run perfectly, I normally turn the "discover Incoming beams" off as you are right the infra red uses the same com port, but with the beam function turned off I am still able to sync with my laptop via infra red.
