HELP!!!!

just got tomtom city maps europe and cannot seem to get it to work, i am having problems with it. i have put it on my sd card like the rest of my maps, and it wont show on switch map, when i click on it straight from my explorer page it says not a valid pocket pc file i am stumped, it doesnt even have the file icon like the rest of my maps, it is like a .exe icon please help.....

city maps? is that really still around? Make sure you install it via ActiveSync - that should take care of the required processor type (ARM)

i did transfer it via active sync, reason why i am after europe is i live in germany, and only have the major roads europe.... cannot figure out why it wont open etc though..

"City maps" maps do not work in TomTom Navigator.

that would be why then, i am trying to get the european software as stated above. thanks guys, so what is it i require then, maps of western europe???
