Newbie problems

HELP

I have installed active sync on my pc but when i plug in pda nothing happens? tried reinstalling etc still nothing. Can even open activesync (nothing comes up) does it run in the background?? what next

Problem is that i cant get active sync to load?? Icons on desktop go large and system does nothing?. i have tried different versions but each are the same. When i put in hp disk it comes up and says that i need to load in later version of outlook and i need to install activesync. When i promt do do this outlook update says it failed and it wont continue on to load activesync. I downloaded from microsoft latest office package and its still the same!!!

A little more information about your setup might be helpful, what operating system, connection type etc, did you install activesync on your pc before connecting the cradle.
