So I have a PDA (a Loox 720) and a Fortuna Clip On GPS that is all working happily in a number of applications... and I'm really impressed with it all.
But I'm thinking - is there an app for my PPC that uses my GPS to measure such things as 0-60 times, 1/4 miles sprint times, and if I know the weight of my car and the gearing... mayeb even bhp and torque graphs?
Is a GPS accurate enough to be used for this purpose - or do I need decidated kit with an accelerometer etc?? I hope not.
Did a quick Google search but couldnt find anything. Anyone know anything? |

GPS only measures speed in discrete 1 second intervals. It is not suitable for what you want to achieve.
You need an accelerometer. _________________ Lutz

Looks like GPS isnt quite accurate enough to do it "on the cheap" ![Smile](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Let's say it like this - it was never designed to do these things. _________________ Lutz

Sometime simplicity (ie. a stopwatch) is the best way to go. _________________ Pete R.
