|
|
Hi there
I have recently bought another Emtac BTGPS to connect to my bluetooth enabled dell laptop and for the life of me I cannot get the thing to connect -it finds the GPS and then tells me it doesn't offer any services.
I intended to use it with autoroute 2005 but I must be doing something stupid.
Has anyone else had similar problems or know how to resolve this issue - incidentally it works perfectly well with my 3970 Ipaq - its a gem!!
All help is greatfully appreciated. |

Sounds like the Bluetooth stack on your laptop is too old. Which version are you running? _________________ Lutz

Hi
My laptop is a Dell Latitute D600 which I'm using with an MSI Bluetooth Dongle (USB).
I don't know if this makes a difference?
thanks for the reply

You can try to upgrade the BT stack to version 1.4 . Have a look in the taskbar - do you have a BT icon there? Right click that and click "Advanced Configuration". The version number should be listed at the top.
Also, do you have XP SP2 on that machine? Microsoft have included BT support, but it may clash with the Widcomm stack _________________ Lutz

Hello again
I have tried to bond and connect using this pc desktop P4 and using the same USB (MSI) it works fine - not sure about how much use it will be being in a desktop ()
I have checked the advanced configuration tab and it gives me the following info (it gives me the same info both in the desktop and laptop)
Manufacturer Cambridge Silicon Radio
Firnware Revision Version 525
HCI Version Bluetooth HCI 1.1
HCI revision 020D
LMP Version Bluetooth LMP 1.1
LMP Sub Version 020D
Does this mean anything to you?
regards
Mike. |
