|
|
Hi, does TT3 have any speed limiting/warning functionality e.g does it know the speed limit of the actual road it is on (not just a general this road is a A road therefore is 60mph). Obviously I don't expect the system to know about roadworks/variable speed limits.
Or does it have a screen as per Travel-I that you can click on a speed and the system will then warn you when you go over this limit (Travel -I cannot be used at the same time as TT).
Or can speed warning be done by POI, if so, how ?
cheers

TomTom knows the speed limit for each street (that's the basis for the calculation, after all) but does not expose it in the User Interface. Use the POI Speed warner systems instead. See the "Speed Cameras" link on the left _________________ Lutz

I'd be surprised if TTN knows the limit for each street. It seems more likely that it knows the class of each road (Motorway, A-Road and so on) and uses your speed settings for each class in the calculations. So, the best it could do is warn you at 70mph on a dual carriageway even if the actual road you are on has a 50mph limit. I guess they don't offer this as it would be unreliable as a limit aid.
