sd cards on tomtomgo

Hi,

Got a tomtom go for xmas and its great. I want to load the bundled european maps but there is not enough room on the sd card. Can I just use another sd card. I have tried load a couple of cheap sd cards that I have use dfor my camera ( even reformatted them!) and the tomtomgo doesn't recognise the card. Is there a specific spec for the 'go'?
