HELP!!!!

I left an earlier message as I cant get my TomTom 3 to work with a 6010 reciever using a Toshiba e570.

Rikaline told me i needed to turn off my IR and set it to com port 1. I set it to com 1 and went into connections then beam on my ppc and unchecked the box under Recieving that says "Recieve all incoming beams and select discoverable mode"

It still doesnt work and now all Rikaline are telling me is that it should work!!!!

I am tearing my hair out, can anyone help?
