Oh what a christmas!!!
Must be 20 hours making this work. (and still failure)
Using XDA2S (with keyboard), TT3 and TT bluetooth
At first kept losing signal to bluetooth headset (Tried Jabra and changed it for a Nokia HS4W).
Nokia better but big problem is that loses connection (AND WILL NOT RECONNECT IN ANY WAY) on a soft reset. Of course have to do a soft reset to instal odd things noew and again.
Will re-pair fine but not go on to connect. Have tried to delete and re pair the headset but just refuses.
IF TT3 not installed (hence TT bluetooth not involved) works and connects fine.
Installing TT as supplied on disk but upgrading to 3.07. )yes I have tried not upgrading).
Even tried to install and do a backup so that I can go back to this but at end of restore it does a soft reset and so it will not work again.

HELP HELP HELP
Chris

chris dont pannic it will work fist of all make sure the rom version is the lastest 1.72 available from the o2 website and and in the settings for the gps use tomtom wireless gps and in the boxbelow that select bluetooth gps if that doesnt work then go to the downloads area and download 2.09 this the driver i use now it does block the gps serial port so if your going to use fugawi or some other gps software then youll need to find away round it. it should work with 3.07

dont to forget to pair both the headset and the gps receaver to the xda it should work with the jabra if you can then theres a link for btools try installing that and see if it works the motorola headset i have works fine when i remember to charge it

First the XDA is new and O2 has no downloads on their site for the XDA2S.
Remember it is not the xda2. My software version is 1.12.62 WWE. so bears no relation to the one you mention.
I am not sur in the TT bluetoth setup quite what to use. Iam using TT bluetooth on the top line and Com 6 below it. Just use this as it appeard to work. It does not like com5 nor as far as I can figure out anything else.
Not sure what fugawi is?
I took Jabra 250 back as it was a flakey pain: unusable.

A few people suggest going back to 2.07 driver. Where can I find this and how is it installed?

Thanks for help on this new years day. I was just donating to the Asian problem so added £5 for you. Again thanks.
Chris

And another point tied to get into bluetooth tools: copy on cd provided by O2. But it says cannot as something of mine is in ROM and therefore will not continue. So I gave up on that path too!!!

right forget setting com 6 as the com port. in the comport selection box select bluetooth gps its the very last option. One thing you could try as a few people myself included had this problem let the gps receiver totally discharge then charge it up fully hopefully that should sort it. The older versions are available from the downloads section of this site but if you do the 3.07 update or3.07t the t is for traffic if your going to use the traffic data and use the same device and comport set as ive mentioned above that should do it my own computer is down at the moment im just getting it running again if you go to www.xdadevelopers.com there should be a link there in there forums for bt tools which is a seperate addin for the bluetooth stack and doesnt come with you cd and should sort the headset problem out from whats been said from other users of xda2s's you have to use the built in keyboard with you device

Hi All

bttools will not work on the xda2s. O2 in Asia have released a Blue tooth patch v3500 but this has not been released for the rest of the world.

I have installed the patch on my xda2s and it seams to work (the problems i had were not as severe as yours chris).

if you want to try the patch please PM your email address. im sorry i cant post it here as i dont know how Embarassed

i think there will be a patch released by o2 europe soon.

Regards

The Pilgrim

A little encouragement for you.

I have the t-mobile MDA III (same as xda IIs) and Tomtom bluetooth and a bt headset all working fine together.

Latest build from totmtom
Tomtom GPs set as "Bluetooth Serial Port COM6:"
BT update 3500 from xda-developers.com
