I have an IPAQ 4150 with TomTom3 running, i constantly kepp getting the message when using TomTom3 unreliable GPS signal. I now this is a signal issue as the Wired arial is in an OK position as one minute it works the next it does not. Any one else have this problem. as at present my TomTom3 is next to useless.
Some one please help me..................... I cant stand getting lost due to my TomTom |

What happens when you hold the receiver out of the window (or put it temporarily on the roof if it has a magnetic base) ? _________________ Lutz

no, i have not. What difference will this make, i have tried the same system in 3 different cars and the out come is all the same, unreliable signal.

it might be the baud rate and com port set up have you checked them do you have a plug in keyboard installed this could the problem of the receiver could be stuffed if try a reinstall of the navigator program and see if its any better first _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

I only have the HP IPAQ 4150 running with the TomTom3 PDA kit, no keyboard etc etc. Any ides to what the issue can be. a bad cable, the need of a patch for tomtom3 software etc etc. |

it bcould be the conectorlead on the gps or the serial port on the 4150 the only thing to do is try the vreceiver with another pda to see if thats the problem _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

Can you try a different software (like Winfast navigator) to see if it also experiences the dropouts? _________________ Lutz
