Checkpoint & Safety Database

Guys,

Is there any corrolation between Checkpoints own camera database and yours? I find Checkpoint very useful for noting new cameras and deleting dead entries, which then I believe it uploads the updates to Checkpoint - but does yours feed into those updates at all?

I started off just using Checkpoints DB, but have now switched to just yours as I've found it more accurate, but I can't fault their method for updates...

There's basically no connection between the two unless people submit the same cameras to both.

I prefer the Pocket GPS World database, as it's checked fairly carefully before issue. It's too easy for false or incorrect information to get into the CheckPOInt database, in my opinion.


It would help if you submit any missing information from the Pocket GPS World database - including speed limits for speed cameras that lack them (if you look at a camera point, if it lacks @ and a speed limit at the end of the description, we don't have the speed limit for it). You can email any updates to cameras(at)pocketgpsworld(dot)com - the database is updated approximately once a month.
